Description
Cutback is a dilutable
concrete etcher and cleaner
formulated with a special
blend of Phosphoric acid and
surfactants to prepare bare,
open concrete for coating
with water-based concrete
seals like Hillyard Cover 1 ,
OR COVER 2. Many concrete
etchers are formulated with
Hydrochloric acid that can
burn concrete. Cutback
formulated with Phosphoric
acid, is easier to use and
will get the job done without
the negative effects of
Hydrochloric acid. Etching
creates microscopic pores in
the surface. These pores
improve adhesion of the seal
being applied to the surface,
creating a long-lasting bond
that aids in performance and
longevity. Surface
contaminants can lead to
coating failure. The
surfactant package formulated
in Cutback will aid in
cleaning by lifting soils
from the surface, minimizing
the chance of failure caused
by contaminants. Cutback is
packaged in one gallon
containers and is dilutable
up to 1:4, delivering both
performance and value. For
maximum performance, apply
with a plastic sprinkling can
to assure uniform coverage on
